Edwin H. Wilson, 1898-1993

One of the principal organizers behind the humanist movement from the 1920s until the 1960s was the Unitarian minister Edwin H. WilsonW. He served as editor and director of the American Humanist Association during its first years. As a minister, he promoted religious humanism but believed that the AHA had a different, more secular agenda than the Unitarian and other liberal churches.
