The stage magician James RandiW became affiliated with the humanist movement through his participation in the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal, where he wrote articles debunking self-proclaimed psychics such as Uri Geller. His entertaining evening shows became a staple of humanist and skeptic conferences. One of his most notable achievements was his expose of the faith healer Peter Popoff.
